Chad Farrell, P.E. – Principal

Encore Redevelopment is led by Chad Farrell, P.E. Chad is a project manager and environmental engineer with over 15 years of experience in the fields of environmental engineering, professional project management and real estate development. He maintains expertise in the assessment, remediation and redevelopment of contaminated properties and performs these services as an owner, owner’s representative and consultant. Chad has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bucknell University and earned a Master of Science Degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Vermont, where he completed a masters thesis entitled “Removal of Residual Tetrachlorethene (PCE) from Homogenous and Layered Heterogeneous Soil Systems Using Alcohol Flushing”.

Nick Richardson – Director of Operations

Nick Richardson serves as Director of Operations at Encore Redevelopment. Nick has deep connections to Vermont and its working landscape, and is excited to have the opportunity with Encore to promote sustainable development and energy solutions in Vermont and beyond. Nick brings over a decade of experience in management, strategy consulting, and organizational development to this role. Prior to joining Encore, Nick served as the Managing Director of the Vermont Energy Education Program, a program of the Vermont Energy Investment Corporation. Nick holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Sarah Lawrence College and spent two of his college summers working for the Appalachian Mountain Club as a crew member in the Huts system. Nick received his MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College where he was the inaugural recipient of the James Allwin Award for Community Service.

Collin Ackerman – Project Coordinator

Collin Ackerman is a project coordinator at Encore, assisting in project development, permitting, and management of redevelopment and renewable energy projects as well as providing assistance with business development and corporate development initiatives. Collin is a graduate of the University of Vermont’s Community Development and Applied Economics program. He holds a B.S. in Community Entrepreneurship, a major combining small business practices with principals of social and environmental responsibility. Collin has worked as a research intern and photographer for Smart Growth Vermont, gathering information and photographing towns which qualify for Vermont’s Designated Downtown or Village Center status. He has also interned with Crane Associates where he interviewed town officials and gained experience with market studies for affordable housing projects.

Matt Andon – Project Analyst

Matt Andon is a project analyst for Encore with experience in the fields of financial analysis, alternative energy development, and project coordination. He specializes in financial modeling related to alternative energy development and has structured numerous financial proformas for these projects. Matt graduated cum laude from the University of Vermont with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Concentration in Finance and a Minor in Economics. Prior to Encore Redevelopment, Matt interned at National Life Group as a Financial Analyst in the Treasury Department.
